In my opinion, using percentages IS the right way to go, and I feel confident no one would think <1% is a fair split on child support, even if it is more money than most of us can fathom.
If he didn't want to be taken by a gold digger, he should have watched where he placed his, uh, personal effects. If this child was with a woman he loved, would he limit his support to a child in his home this way? I suspect not. |
First of all, it takes two to tango.
For most of us, yeah, percentages are the way to go. But forcing him to pay 10% of what he makes is just pointless.
Wouldn't you agree that the child probably isn't getting much of anything out of that $22,000/month and wouldn't you agree that that's not how much she needs to pay all the bills either?
The government and courts shouldn't be saying, alright 50 Cent, because you earn this much money, you have to give millions to this woman so she can live an absurd lifestyle as well.
He's paying MORE than enough for both of them to get by. Wherever else his $33,000,000+ goes, I don't care!
