I think at least the SS benefits should be deducted by the amount owed, and interest on the money worth at least twice the rate of inflation for the years from when it was owed until the SS benefits are provided (as a punitive measure).
However, that merely helps reimburse the custodial parent many many years later. Something clearly needs done at the time. Maybe, that money should be deducted
at the time of the child support due from future benefits?
