Yes, sort of like that. I have this issue that has been bugging me about a certain group of people and I want to know if one persons views and opinions is justified in what he had to say publicly, until someone can tell me if God, himself, did or did not eat meat... and so far from the reading I've done on the net, sounds like he's a meat eater to me. It was told to me that,
"if someone would allow you to do something, then he himself would do it"
But, I want proof that he did, or did not, eat meat, before I can lay this issue to rest.
Basically, from my reading, and new learning, I have been given permission to slaughter and eat certain meat, I see that this right was given to me by God himself, so I do not understand why some people make a big stink about the issue, and I am quite sure they are more God-fearing than I am.
I feel like these people use God as a power to hide behind on the issue, and until someone can tell me that God is or is not a meat eater, This issue will concern me, however, not as much as these people have issues with eating meat.
Here's the proof I can eat this animal:
Deuteronomy 14:4-6
These are the animals you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat, the deer, the gazelle, the roe deer, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope and the mountain sheep. You may eat any animal that has a split hoof divided in two and that chews the cud. Deuteronomy 12:15
Nevertheless, you may slaughter your animals in any of your towns and eat as much of the meat as you want, as if it were gazelle or deer, according to the blessing the LORD your God gives you. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat it.
Look, I have never cracked the first page on a Bible in my life, and yet I do not understand why some people tell me, and my "group" not to "harm God's creatures", Looks like God gave me the right to eat the thing, so, you'd think these people would know better than I, that God gave me permission to eat it, so, what's the deal?
So, this is where I currently stand:
Don't tell me not to harm God's little creatures, when God told me to go SLAUGHTER and eat it!
