The drug isn't the problem, the laws are. If the chit wasn't illegal to start with, then there'd be no gang wars over weed, no illegal drug dealers, and then our prisons would be able to hold sex predators.
Instead, we make it illegal and hold people in prison for years for smoking a relatively harmless substance and then
about the prisons are overcrowded so we have to let sexual predators walk the streets.
