If you're divorcing, whether you have lawyers handling it or do your own separation and distribution of assets, a judge is going to rule and order that one of you keep the car and put it in their name so as to relinquish the other party from responsibility. If he's willing to do it now vs. later, great ... but if he's as open about the matter as he is to you parenting his child, odds are you'll need the judge to rule and order him to come off the title and loan.
