Both of my cats have been scratching at their ears alot lately. I have taken them to the vet for this problem before and all they did was clean them out. I hate seeing them in this pain. What is the best way to clean them out? I have tried a q-tip, but if you have a cat you know how that goes. Thank-you all for your help.

kittyburrito!!!! we had to do that with our older cat several times. just catch the cat unawares, wrap body and pointy bits(i.e. claws) in a thick blanket several times, then commence cleaning.

this process is best done by 2 adults, one to hold the "burrito" and one to do the actual cleaning.
