It was not meant for hunting wildlife but for protection against gov tyranny.

The USA founding parents (male and females) had to take up arms to fight and even war against the injustices of the ruling British authority and therefore the Second Amendment was put there to insure that same right to the future generations.

I do not want to have a weapon myself and I am personally non violent and I use to have guns and I got rid of them all, but I maintain that I understand the purpose and the NEED for the common individual citizen to have their right to own and bare arms which must be maintained.

I totally support the Second Amendment as an individual right so that individuals may form as a militia if the need arises.
