Having worked as a teacher, I know most school districts are very careful about violating license agreements and usage agreements, even making sure you don't copy material on the copier unless it is authorized. So, I found this very curious. Before, I thought they were just short on a few textbooks. Now, I'm thinking they asked for some for review, intending to use those for the school instead of purchasing a set. Which would be really cheesy.

Oh and by the way, my kid has never brought one home because she doesn't have it in her locker. We use the internet to go over historical events she doesn't understand from class because we don't have the text as a resource.
wow. that sounds effing ridiculous. I just graduated and I never remember having that problem, but my senior year I didn't go to the highschool (went to CSM) so maybe thats when all of this started?

That just goes to show how short the school is on funding (not just that school either, public schools in general)
