"As a spin-off to one of television's most popular shows, we will be hosting our own version of 'Southern Maryland's Got Talent'," said General Manager Mark Viniard. "There's no doubt that there are many outstanding individuals or groups with special talents, which could be showcased at the ballpark for our fans during the 2008 season."

The rules are simple - perform your talent in front of the panel of judges and you could end up performing at Regency Furniture Stadium this season. The Blue Crabs are looking for clowns, singers, dancers, mascots and actors, and live bands to perform on the field during the 2008 season. The Blue Crabs are also looking for entertainers to serve as members of the "BLUE CREW," the official promotions and in-game entertainment team of the Blue Crabs. In addition, those wishing to perform the National Anthem at one of the 70 home games are encouraged to tryout at the talent show as well.

Positions: PA Announcer, On-Field Host, Promo Crew, National Anthem Singers, Mascot, Bands etc.

Auditions will be held at the North Point High School Convocation Center located in Waldorf on Saturday March 29 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Those wishing to perform are asked to register on the Blue Crabs website (Southern Maryland Blue Crabs - York, PA Atlantic League Baseball), or by contacting Kim Hedden at 301-638-9788 x 207. Registered participants will audition on a first-come, first-served basis.

For those that feel they have the talent to perform at a game, but cannot attend the tryouts, a video, CD or cassette can be sent to:

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs
3200 Crain Highway Suite 203
Waldorf, MD 20603
I had actually talked to Kim Hedden, I thought this was only for Mascot additions?
