While I may have misconceptions about Socialists, and therefore don't hang out with them, I believe it's not out of ignorance. When forced to socialize with these folks, I get violently ill at the ignorance they spew as fact.

Perhaps if Michelle had said "Because sometimes it’s easier to hold on to your own stereotypes and misconceptions. It makes you feel justified in your own ignorance. That’s the Democratic Party", I'd agree with the statement.

Besides, I don't know the words to kumbaya.
