Good comments, all. My biggest complaint about government is the incompetence. And yet some folks believe government is the only entity that should control certain aspects of our economy.

The outright waste in building schools, lack of control regarding growth and associated planning for infrastructure and lack of transparency to the public have made me disgusted with politicians. Wasn't the Maryland lotto and megamillions money designated for schools (I may be wrong here)? Was that money in addition to the money already budgeted for schools or designed to supplant the money budgeted for schools so the school budget money could be spent elsewhere? Where is the accounting for that money?

As it gets more difficult to maintain the standard of living I've earned over the years, I get more and more disillusioned with government.
