I've made it clear to my daughter that she will not date until high school and I will be very involved. Come hell or high water, this kid will graduate from school and not breast feed while doing it! Being a single parent is tough enough and I will not make it harder on myself by becoming a grandma before I'm 40.
It just dawned on me that every time I drop off or pick up my daughter from her BFF's house, her folks are drinking alcohol. And the father seemed quite relaxed when he told me how he found pot in his oldest son's bed room
I've only know this family for 6 months. The kids also has a baby on the way at 16.
Then today, I find out that her other friend, whom she has known for years at two different schools is the sister of the kids who tried to put a hit on his parents

WTF!?!?!?!
It goes to show that people with big houses and money aren't any better than plain white trash like me. I may be a lot of things but I'm mortified at what I've recently discovered.UFB!
