We were in the back yard trying to coax a TINY bit of work out of him and the only things available were the switch or the rubber hose. Honestly - I don't think a smack on the azz from my hand is going to do much to put a 5'10", 160lb kid back into line. What should I do next time - maybe smack his face? I don't know exactly where the "Line" we can't cross is these days. God knows switches have worked on the farm for hundreds of years....
