Oh yea, I bet you took the eay way out, you moved away instead of doing something.

I will not deny the issues of the past at that school. I will not deny there are still issues at that school. BUT, I have been told about other issues at the other HIGH and MIGHTY middle schools in the county. So while it is apparent you have a preconceived notion about Spring Ridge, which is your right, do not lose the fact that those issues you mention start at the home. Those issues also occur at other middle schools nationwide not only in this county. If your issue with those schools are race, then say it is.

When I read your post, I thought the parents need to get a grip on life and quit letting the kids run the house.

If my child came home and told me about harassment, I would be at the school the next day. If my child came into my home and begin "ghetto" talk, it would end that night. If my child demanded phone charging and minutes, the phone would be taken to the county dump.

If my child at the age of 13 wants to date, my answer is simple...NO!

Middle school is a very unique time in everyone's life. The hormones are flying a hundred miles an hour. This is the time to guide the youth down the right path. Not when they are 18, not when they are already in jail, etc.

I believe the intent of the post was the things and experiments the middle age kids get into.....uhmm, seems to be they are acting just like we did, until our parent/s brought us back in line.
I moved, but it was hardly easy and I did it because my neighborhood sucked and so did my landlord

I'm not trying to portray anything about the school. I'm relaying what I heard and what I see from the kids that go there. Your kids may well be the good, studious children you think they are but are you they silent minority? I've also been told that if you want to slide by there and get good grades, you should keep your head down and your nose to the grindstone because you will be singled out and scorned by the other students. Getting involved is not an option because my daughter is only in the 5th grade. My statement about not letting her attend that school is my way of stating I will not let that crap become a problem. If the school has a problem, I'll avoid it and if that's taking the easy road then who cares. I have enough crap to deal with and don't need 200 students with crappy upbringing to make waves for my kids. Additionally, I don't raise my kids to fight, but I'm not so nice and if one punk teeny-bopper raises a hand to my child, they better have one mean Mom to back them up.
