Anywho, never done a headboat down here, have done a couple ocean headboat trips (going out further than I'd expect in st. mary's) in ocean city and I THINK I did one in Myrtle beach but I can't for the life of me remember. I don't think we ever had an unproductive trip
It was fun, but personally it didn't do THAT much for me because I prefer to really fight the fish (this was sea bass fishing btw) instead of just trying to get it up as fast as possible (you're using heavy tackle too...so its not like they were really going to break the line) so that you don't snag other people. I prefer shore fishing and catching 1 fish that puts up a good fight than 50 that come straight up. Seems like more just reeling than what I would classify "fishing".
