My mom had the most
savage pinch. You rarely saw it coming, and by the time you yelped in startled pain and people were looking she would be staring with a cool composed expression promising further reprisal for embarassing her in public.
I could get away with a lot at home but making her look bad or embarassing her in public was verboten.
