| You'll have to record that one. My mother-in-law has a bird book that has a recording of each birds call, I use it every once in a while to id a call. Or you can do an online search of the bird you think it is and most sites have a recording of the common calls for that bird.
When I was out in West Virginia earlier this spring, we had a bird in the yard that made a buzzing sound like a cicada ending with a throaty whistle. It was a ground dwelling bird. I used the MIL's book to find out it was a Woodcock. Good luck in your hunt for an answer! |
