OK, I'm about to ask a question that shows that I'm fairly new to the area, so forgive me if I sound naive.
It seems that we've been getting a decent amount of tornado watches lately (at least a lot more than I've ever heard of, which was basically none). Is it usually like this in the spring/summer down here? I've always lived on the east coast and just didn't think that tornados were all that common around here.
