I rocked my daughter to sleep until she was in the second grade... It worked for both of us... we would watch tv together in the rocking chair....

The other day she told me that the day I quit rocking her to sleep [because it hurt my back and legs] was the worst day of her childhood....

She's a good kid... not too spoiled... listens better than most... and when she doen't feel well, I sit with her so she can hear my heatbeat... it helps....
