| I nursed mine in the rocking chair and usually we both fell asleep! Most times I let him cry a while because they need to learn how to get themselves to sleep, but I could usually tell if he wasn't feeling well and then gave him all the TLC he needed until he did fall asleep. When he was older we had our ritual of a bedtime story, lullabies on tape or mommy singing and sometimes rocking him on my lap or holding him and "swaying" to the music. Sometimes they are just too wound up to relax. You would be surprised how manipulative they can be though, even at a young age. |
