I totally agree with you! By profession, I work with at risk youth (children that have been removed from DC public schools for behavioral issues). It truly hurts me to see how this generation (I guess I should say my generation because I’m pretty young myself) is undoing what people fought hard and long for. But what really gets to me is the lack of involvement from communities. People rant and rave about the problems but few people step up to actually help resolve the issues.

Right, but the problem is when people like Bill Cosby and a hand few of other "black leaders" make comments for the black community to stand up to the ones that act like this and stop putting up with this and making excuses for them. They are largely shot down and called "Uncle Tom's" and called "sell outs". It is totally ass backwards when most blacks would rather listen to advice from Sharpton and Jackson rather than someone that actually has some sense like Cosby.
