AK...your sentiments are dead on...I will challenege your assertion of "Most Blacks" though...I suspect (just like any demographic) there is a huge portion who are not energized to act...and won't take an active stance. I suspect that the Upper Middle class, professional African Americans I am familiar with might verbally approve of some of the "Leaders" today but...they won't march, won't send donations,...and are not lock step with the liberal elements of the Dem party.
I suspect that some are embarrassed by the "leadership."
What that paortion of the demographic is searching for is an articulate, positive, decent...younger version of Bill Cosby.---and although they might be in Obama's camp for now, I don't know how deep their loyalty lies. |
