The problem with that comparison is that Dukakis and his icky wife are weird, and neither was particularly likeable. Barack is likeable. He seems like a real guy, so they're going to have a hard time painting him as a freak job. Plus, Barack has no raging mistakes that he can't get past like the Willie Horton problem, the wife's alcoholism and his strange answer to the death penalty question. |
