"Nobody never did like him" as in "Nobody liked him" or as in the double negative you actually typed meaning people DID like him? I honestly have no idea what that part of the sentence is supposed to mean.
I'm one of Sam's family members. I find it troubling that so many people need to reassure themselves of their own intelligence or morality by saying, basically, that he deserved to be killed. Should he have stolen that truck? Absolutely not. Did he deserve to die for theft? Apparently, a lot of people here think so.
