What carrier are you with? After 10 years you should be able to get a new phone at a subsidized price!
What do you think about getting a used phone and then purchasing a new battery for it? They (batteries) seem to be cheap on ebay atleast. I can't justify spending alot of money for a phone that spends 99% of the time turned off. I use it for emergencys only. In case I break down at 4am or something.
