You got that part right. That's why I don't hang out or live in deaf community. I don't like thier lifestyle or agree with thier views on things. However, I do miss the communication of being able to communicate with my friends easily, but I do not miss the bashing on "Why do you want to "hear" and why you are so glad that your kids aren't deaf." Also, "Why do you have to go out and married a hearing man when there are plenty single deaf men available?"
Deaf Community are very against cochlear implant, hearing aids, deaf person marrying a hearing person, speaking very well (with voice), etc. They call it "Deaf Power" and I call them "Deaf Idiots".
