If you have all those job skills that you say you have, then you really shouldn't have a problem getting a job. Alot of the seafood restaruants in Calvert County actually pay decent. And if your good with heavy equipment, the construction companies are always looking for good operators. But you might have to look for work outside of Calvert. I live in St. Mary's, and work in P.G. County on Dower House Road. Heck if you look at it, alot of well paid jobs are usually out of the are of which you live. Not alot of people get the luxury of having a job close to where they live, making over minimum wage, and if they do thats just how it goes. I work Union, and if there's one thing I've learned since I've joined, you can't have a attitude towards getting a job. Employers just don't look fondly on that. They don't want someone who's got a chip on they're shoulder. But good luck in finding the right job, don't get stuck having a job you hate.

What a cruel thing is war: to separate and destroy families and friends, and mar the purest joys and happiness God has granted us in this world; to fill our hearts with hatred instead of love for our neighbors, and to devastate the fair face of this beautiful world. ~Robert E. Lee, letter to his wife, 1864
