It's sad, really. |
I will continue to parent my daughter, not pamper. One time my daughter and I were talking and she asked me why I was stricter than some of her friends parents and I told her point blank that it's our responsibility to prepare her for life without mommy or daddy. I said I could never be laid to rest knowing I left her in this world without the proper survival skills. And guess what, she's still a daddies girl and everyday I tell her I love her and every time I walk out my door, I ensure she gets a kiss goodbye. Life gives zero guarantees that a parent or parents will always make it home alive!!!
