Jr has said he is not interested in fielding a Cup team. Stewart leaves JGR to reunite with Chevy/GM at HaasCNC with heavy backing from Hendrick, aka the fifth car scenario. Logano moves up to the #20 in cup for 2009. Everyone thinks he can do it so why not give it a try. If Newman goes with Stewart, aka the sixth car scenario, Mears goes to Penski. If not, Mears has an open invitation to go back to open wheel thanks to Uncle Rick. Or
