Yes...at 10 and younger we were told to go outside in the morning, come home for lunch and back out we went...just had to be home before dark. We played at the pond, in the woods, built our own forts, played in the tobacco fields....rode our bikes everywhere. I also let my kids go as long as they were in groups of two or more. They are 17 and the twins are 14.
