I ask you...

...all: WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE???

What is the value in blame? To win the election! For what purpose? To make things better!

Bush and the GOP had the WH and both chambers of congress in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Add to that 2001 and 2002.

Yes, Dems 'caused' this via poor legislation. Dems supported it, wrote it and backed it long and loud and proud.

SO WHAT??????

A good many of you still make excuses for Bush because you'd rather blame someone else than him, for some reason. Never mind he is the freaking potus. If anything, these type adds should make you look at Republicans in general and Bush in particular as inept stewards of our government, unfit for office. They knew there was a problem and they did NOTHING about it.

That is negligence.

Of course, that is not their fault. Oh no. It's the media. It's the Dems. It's global warming! If they can't get the job done running all three branches what, exactly, is the rationale for putting them back in office? Better luck next time with a Dem controlled congress?

It's too damn bad an absurdly inexperienced and woefully partisan rookie is likely to take office. All he did was take advantage of the situation as he found it. Republicans made the situation.

I can hear you say "Oh, but it will be soooooo much worse with a scary Democrat in charge! The media is overplaying how bad things are!"

Again I say, so what? Do you suppose Republicans are so damn stupid that they need to be told the media is not on their side as they take office? Maybe a little handbook full of warnings? Maybe they've never heard of all the right wingers on the radio who have been dominating that medium for over two decades. Maybe they never read and of the myriad books by right wingers telling us exactly how bias works and how deep it is?

And how to defeat it.

Ah ha! So, we'll support the GOP'er most identified with sucking up to the media! I get it! Reverse psychology!

The GOP deserves to die for this mess and be replaced by leaders of a party who don't just say what we want to hear, but act on it. The GOP hasn't failed by not knowing what to do. It has failed by not doing it. I leave it to whether it is intentional or not.

This country, the people, overwhelmingly stood against this bail out. Most Americans were willing to go through the pain of the unknown and face the dire predictions and let the chips fall where they may trusting in things getting better tomorrow by doing the right things if we just stop doing the wrong things today.

The Democrats got away with this. They wanted it. They got it. Look at the smug pleasure of Barny Frank and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. They got away with it. And who was with them? Who wanted this bail out? Think about that. Go ahead and make more excuses for Bush and the GOP.

If McCain and our beloved GOP get WIPED out this fall, THAT is the first step towards better government; the ashes of bad government. If McCain only loses by a little, it will start the cycle all over again of excuse making and woulda shoulda coulda's and hey, we really mean to be conservative this time!

If what you're doing isn't working. Do something else.
