Actually that was my main reason to objecting to her meddling in the White House in the Clinton years - she was absolutely un-fire-able. You can't fire the First Lady. Everyone else is expendable.
I think everyone else has touched on this - she has a lock on the New York Senate seat for as long as she wants it - and 2012, she can still run for President. It would seem strange for a Secretary of State to run AGAINST their boss. The only sitting Senators who should take it are men who have nothing to lose. |  |
