| Bailout and Corporate Sponsorship
IS anyone else confused by all this "bailout" as I am? I understand the ramifications if nothing is done. BUT why isn't there some "accountability" being required.
Perfect example is CITICORP. They are begging for tax payer help from the government but yet will not relinquish the coporate sponsorship for the new Mets stadium in NY. How many million/billions are they spending on that?
Seems to be the government ought to be able to set some requirements for budget overhaul and that would be one item to go right after all the private planes, etc.
After what AIG did when they got the bailout money, I think all parties should enforce the true meaning of accountability. |
