Maybe one even more Left that Colmes. He could have had a weekend show like Hannity without giving up the daily show. His radio show is on Fox News Talk Radio on XM. Heard him once, but he was not too good, as are most Left hosts.
Maybe he is being vetted for Hussein's press Secretary and wanted to make a break before he was chosen.
