I think you may be correct. We were attaching them to existing signs. It makes me mad because we replace it with a new one when the first one is gone. You would think that the jerk taking them down would call one of the two numbers listed and say "you need to take your sign down because it isn't staked in the ground" instead of ripping it down and taking it. It's not like it is a yard sale sign or something like that. It is a sign for our missing dog. It just makes me furious.
Either way, I know now.
