I disagree. I think honesty in government would be a refreshing change. If Tommy McKay said "Yes, I embezzled that money from my parents" I could respect his honesty. If he said, "I didn't do anything like that" I could respect him addressing the issue. As it stands, he's doing neither and it makes him look like a weasel and a crook in the grandest Clinton/Nixon style. The point now, to me, isn't whether he did or didn't - it's that he won't talk about it.
Again, I disagree. Rossignol has his pets and he picks and chooses what he thinks is news, like any other reporter. We all saw what he did to Dave Zylak when Zylak did nothing to deserve it. |
Vraiblonde,
I agree with you 100%. It would seem that all anybody on this issue wants is an answer to the question.
As far as my not voting being a vote for Julie, I can assure you that will never happen. I will vote for Tommy Boy on November 05, because I don't have a choice. All I can do is make sure that I also vote for Dement, Jarboe, Gass and Gray. At least then I will know there are five other honorable people on the Board to counterbalance having a sleezy president! I am first and foremost a Republican and even though I don't like my choices I would never vote for a Democrat!
Larry Jarboe, Joe Gass, Kenny Dement and Vernon Gray will definitely make excellent Commissioners. They will do everything in their power to make sure that the citizens of St. Mary's have a voice.
I also agree with your evaluation of Rossignol. If he were strictly looking at the facts and not being prejudicial, he would have never endorsed McKay to begin with. But I feel reasonably sure that if we keep an eye on the "St. Mary's Today" rag, we will begin to see more ads for McKays grocery stores.
