| Vrail, though I know Kenny Dement and he is just that, a very nice guy who would give you the shirt off his back, a lot of people, even close friends of his, think his candidacy is somewhat of a joke. Most people just don't believe he has the brain or book smarts to really be a decent commissioner. I don't say that in support of the hearsay or to try to undermine his campaign, but that is what I hear.
I am firm on three votes for commissioner -- Raley, Gass and Jarboe. I am totally on the fence with the commissioner president vote because I don't really like either one. I am also somewhat on the fence with Dement/Anderson because I pretty much despise Joe Anderson and am really not comfortable in giving a vote to Dement if he is not capable.
Did anyone else catch the article in yesterday's Southern Maryland Extra in the Post about the races down here? I forget if it was Hoyer or Glendening now, but they said the Republican ticket for Commissioners here in St. Mary's was a "disaster." |
