Larry Jarboe, Joe Gass, Kenny Dement and Vernon Gray will definitely make excellent Commissioners. They will do everything in their power to make sure that the citizens of St. Mary's have a voice.
To acknowledge a rumor will give it a certain degree of credibility, and Tom McKay is too smart to do that. So, I'm 99.999% sure that there is not an answer forthcoming. That said, it doesn't matter. He's still a better choice, for reasons various people have illustrated here. Oliver Stone, call your office.

If answering the question is so very important, then where were the 4 guys you mentioned above, at the Forum last Thursday? Their empty chairs sure couldn't answer the questions at Ryken last week.

Kenny Dement gets a pass as his strategy has never been to go head-to-head with Anderson in a public forum. Dement is nobody's dummy, and will get along with whoever the other 4 commissioners are. This gives him an edge over Anderson and enough reason to vote for Dement in the General.

Larry Jarboe panders his small business background, but won't meet his "peers" in public? If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen! Finally a reason to vote for Marcel Brooks other than the fact that he is a nice upstanding guy.

Joe Gass could have taken some strides by attending. He represents himself well in a public forum, but failed to support a portion of the community that probably would support him. Very disappointing.

Vernon Gray said he wouldn't attend a forum before the primary election, but if he made it through, he would attend them all leading up to the General. Promise broken - bye-bye vote. Not to be missed though. Dan Raley is the better choice anyway.

One more thing here - The candidates have determined that there are NO party lines in this election. That's right. We're looking at 9 Democrats and 1 Republican. So, don't put your faith in your party if you need a "default" candidate. Put your vote on the best individual in each race. Julie was a Republican. All 5 Republicans were Democrats. Party lines mean nothing this year.
