Not Petco, but I had a friend that took her two Sh!ts to Petsmart. The "groomer" cooked one of them to death, and the other was severely dehydrated and burned badly. It didn't survive much longer after that, either.
After court proceedings, the "groomer" was found not-guilty because she was not trained properly.
Figure that one out!
