Instructions for using new forum features

NEW POSTS

When you click the New Posts link, it will show you all threads that have new posts in them. If you start a thread or post in a thread, then click New Posts, you will not see that thread in your list again until someone else posts in it.

You can access threads that have no new posts in them by going to the forum category the thread was posted in (Chit chat, Politics, etc). The thread will be in that list.

After the threads with new posts, you will see a divider that says the threads below have no new posts BUT there are posts in there that you haven't read yet.

To get rid of the huge New Posts list and start fresh, go to the main page of the forums and, down at the bottom, click Mark All Forums Read.

BLOGGING

If you are a Premo member, you have access to a blog for your personal use.

Click Blogs in the top menubar, then Go To My Blog or Post To My Blog in the sidebar.

Your Blog Control Panel is where you tweak your blog settings. You can make your blog private to only your buddies, or open to the public. You can also choose to allow or not allow comments from others. Check out all the options for your blog in this CP.

To see someone else's blog, go to the blog main page. Under Blog Statistics on the left, you will see the number of Total Blogs on this system. Click the number and you will be shown a list of public blogs. Private blogs will not show up in your list unless you have been give permission to view it. (If you are on someone's buddy list and they are allowing only buddies to view their blog, you will see it in your blog list.)

The blogs operate similar to the forums. You can subscribe to someone's blog and receive notification when a new entry or comment is made. You can also edit entries and comments in your own blog, and upload photos.

MULTI-QUOTE

You can quote multiple posts by clicking the Multi-Quote button below the post, last link/icon on the right. This button will either look like a pair of large black quotes, or a graphic button.

Click the MQ button for each post you want to quote, then hit Reply W/Quote. All quoted posts will show up in your Reply window.

Quoted posts also contain a link to the original post. No more searching for it!

CHAT

Now you must be a registered forum member in order to chat.

You can also do private chats with another user, or you can create your own room and invite people in. Your room can be password protected to keep it private.

To create a room, click ROAM, and Create Room.

To see available rooms, click ROAM, and Room List.

To chat privately with another member, similar to IMing, right-click on the member's avatar and select Private Chat.

To ignore another user, right-click them, then select Ignore.

Sound can be turned off under OPTIONS so that you don't have to hear the beeps, barks and grunts of your fellow chatters.
