Is it the empty space next to the Vietnamese place? I went to Navy Fed yesterday, but to be honest, never looked over that way to see the even if there is a new place going in the other half of the old Hot Noodle.

Yes, the owner from Curry of India in Waldorf opened the Bollywood Bistro where the Hot Noodle and the Vietman places used to be on the third of October. There was a very large buffet, over fifteen items of authentic Indian foods. All very excellent. He is open for lunch and dinner. He is in the process of moving his Waldorf location from the isolated location out to a location on Highway 301 in front of the Burlington Coat Factory, which has a planned openning of the first of December 2008. If you come expecting "Americanized Idian food, you will be disappointed, this is the real thing.

Too bad the Vietnamese place did not work out. I ate there twice and while he served alot of his stuff on paper plates and plastic forks, it was not bad. He could not compete I guess with Montery's (UGH) or Chef's (which I still want to try).

The number one thing wrong with pizza here is the price and presentation. At least up north.... NY or even most places in New England, I can get a slice and a coke for a buck fifty. Not even an option here. If I want a Large pizza up there, I can get it for 8 bucks with one topping. Here I have to pay at least 12 bucks. The fact that Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns are doing so well here tells you that the local pizza isn't great. I liked Pepperoni's the first time I ordered but something has changed already in the first 2 weeks... They went from a great crust to the same old local cracker crust that most of the local places have.... ick. As far as chinese goes.... I have to go to 5 different places to get what I want here. NO place here has a decent egg roll.... Emily's is great. OH and cheese steaks overall suck... especially with Cheese Wiz.... Go north and order a steak bomb with everything and pay only 6 bucks and you'll know what I'm talking about.

I never thought of it that way about the pizza. Even the ones you mentioned are not that great (rather have Ledo's if I get a chain pizza). | |
