| I anyone has been on the pets forum lately, you'll notice how we've gotten stuck on this rescuers vrs. breeders topic. Jump on over to see the details. A couple of us have begun to wonder if it would be possible to find/write a few paragraphs on peoples options now if they are looking into acquiring a new pet. Of course we could keep this in the forum, but the people who would really benefit from seeing it are those who are looking in or placing in the classifieds. This is not a new concept, many larger pet websites all have some sort of statement that lets people know the many options they have in acquiring OR RELINQUISHING a pet. Would it be a possibility to have some sort of eyecatching link to the pet forum that will specifically target those looking for or releasing their pet? Not the link that's on there now, it's too general. Better yet, could we have some sort of message at the top of the pet classifieds? We're only brainstorming, if it's not a possibility, it's totally understandable. At the least, I think we'll make a topic in the forum. Thanks.

| If a group of people can come together to compile a document/guide that would be useful to the community, we can lock it and pin it, and link to it from appropriate areas... But, it needs to be focused and coherent. When threads run on for 20 pages with little more than emot-[make-me-crazy]-icons, or someone quoting a big long post only to say they agree, they tend to rapidly lose their usefulness. The authoritative information should be organized and grouped near the top of the thread. You might want to start one thread to hash out the ideas, and then designate someone to move the pertinent data to a new thread that will become the authoritative document. |
