Thumbs up Holiday Giving Guide Suggestions

Hello All,

We are assembling a Holiday Giving Guide to local charities and we are interested in hearing any suggestions that you may have.

Please feel free to submit the name of a local charitable organization, that is in need of donations, for consideration. Please only submit organizations with whom you have had a personal experience. A sentence or two about why you think they are a great organization will help us make a decision.

Finally, please include a website or phone contact for them.

P.S. We realize that there are many national and international organizations that do great work, but we would like to focus on those who primarily serve the local area.

I LOVE the idea of this! I used to buy two certificates every Christmas and give them to Helping Hands to distribute. Superfresh used to do a deal where for $40 you could get a turkey, mashed taters, green beans, rolls and a pie, all cooked up and ready to serve.

Not sure, down there. I'd guess you have to order them in advance, though.
