Rabies Clinic! We're holding a rabies clinic along with the Charles County Health Department, on Sunday, 27 January from 1pm to 3pm at the shelter. Dogs should be on leashes or in carriers, and cats and ferrets should be in carriers. Rabies vaccinations will be $7 for each animal, distemper vaccinations will be $12, and micro-chipping will be available for $20. Microchips can be placed under a pet's skin and contain information that can allow a shelter to trace a pet's owner if it should ever become lost and turned in to a shelter. Come on out, and tell your fiends! Keep your pet safe and healthy!

Cat Spay/Neuter Special! For the month of January only, female cats can be spayed with rabies and distemper vaccinations for $65. Male cats can be neutered with rabies and distemper vaccinations for only $50. Take advantage of the savings. Give us a call and make an appointment. Do it before kitten season starts! Our number is 301 645-8181 (call after 11am, after 1pm on Thursdays).

I hope a lot of people take advantage. Last year when they had a lost cost rabies clinic at CRE, the line was very very long.
