I understand your frustration with the rescues. We have a mal (from a shelter) but were denied (Pretty much) adoption because our mal is too agressivetowards other dogs. I felt the same way you did, but I strongly urge you to look beyond that please....mals are sooo worth it. They have such great personalities and we cannot rob them of the possibility of a wonderful home because of the hurdles the rescues make us jump through.....please reconsider, they are beautiful wonderful animals and we have never regretted our choice. Your son will have a true friend in one of these rescue mals that just need the love. Best of luck to you either way!
