Large deer just got hit

a large deer was just hit on Wilson Rd and Allday Road. The deer's right front leg was broken but it didn't seem hurt any where else. It limped on across the road into the woods, going in the direction of Cassell Rd.

Is it hunting season now? I'd like to see the deer put down rather than die a slow painful death. Someone would have to track it. It was ambulatory, but it's right front leg was def broken.

Can anybody do anything?

Not far from me.

It's not hunting season. I doubt that anyone can do anything. A police office can put the deer down but I'm sure they won't track it.

Poor thing.

jeez, that is so sad. the thought of it suffering just eats me up inside.

Ok, Booger, .....it's the thought of it suffering. I understand the need for hunting. I know most of us eat meat, etc, etc. It was the fact that I saw it happen and those blasted types of thoughts stick in my brain. I just would have rather it was killed outright or could have been put down.
