THE SOUTHERN MARYLAND MARINE AQUARIUM SOCIETY



The Southern Maryland Marine Aquarium Society (SMMAS) is a friendly gathering of folks from all walks of life that share an interest in Marine Aquariums. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or an expert, we welcome everyone. We have monthly meetings to exchange ideas, discuss current conditions in member’s tanks, share and trade corals, and plan field trips. Our goal is to educate ourselves as well as the general public about the saltwater aquarium hobby and to raise awareness of the delicate reefs we take care of, in and out of our aquariums. We have now 13 sponsors that we get some great deals with. We have also been doing alot of fragging and shareing of our corals.

SMMAS membership is easy -- $20 per individual or $30 per family.
( We are a non profit organization, the money for dues goes towards maintance of the website and our yearly symposium that we hold at calvert marine museum, where we have special guest gives speeches.)

We now offer two ways of paying. If you would like to pay online, please PAYPAL (www.paypal.com) our club account. Select "Send Money" and enter the address club.smmas@gmail.com. Please make sure to enter your name and home address in the "Notes" section. We will email you back with a confirmation email welcoming you to the club. We will also send you our Constitution and Bylaws and add you to the "members only" section of our website. If you have any questions please feel free to email the board members at club.smmas@gmail.com.

We also welcome walk-ins to our meetings that are posted on our front page (www.smmas.org.) If you would rather pay in person at our meetings we welcome this method as well.
