Is there a good mechanic on here that would be willing to take on the job of replacing the front seal in an automatic transmission? If so, send me a pm and I will give you all the info on the car, and see if it is something you would be willing to take on, and for how much.

Otherwise, anyone know of a good repair shop that could do this? I have the vehicle at AAMCO in California, but I think they are extremely high for just resealing at $1070.96

with a side mounted trans you either have to pull the trans or engine to change it. pretty big job and a big PITA!

Without knowing all the details, the shop where I work would quote this at about 850-900$$.
