It interesting that the last two items on the plan for the US in the cartoon rings truer with the bush administration then the obama administration if anyone had been paying attention the last decade.

Yes, Bush allowed congress to spend to much of our money, but it was nothing like the rape we're now experiencing

I guess what disturbs me is something I've suspected and now it's looking like I was right. Some of the legislation railroaded through was just put together too quickly for anyone to have spent serious time on it .....

unless.....

It had been sitting around waiting for someone to bring it to the light of day, meaning it had absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the current economic situation. For all the bluster about "shovel-ready" jobs, every last one of them was a trumped up excuse to spend money on projects long sought for. It wasn't a "stimulus" package; it was a wish list. Here we are, 7-8 months later and it's not improving - in fact, it's getting worse - and they've barely spent any of the money they needed so badly to approve.

We were sold a bill of goods on the whole transparency issue and how bills would be available on the Web for days, because it was so urgently needed to be passed, only to find they just blew the money and it didn't do a damned thing.

Sam, this wasn't just thrown together. Staffers have had this junk sitting on their desktops for years in a folder named "Stuff we're gonna do when we have the chance"

There is a thread on here somewhere about 'what would you do if you hit the lottery?'. That's all this is. That's all it ever was.

I am reasonably sure this is a complete waste of time; why do you think that?

I've finally put him on ignore. He really doesn't discuss anything, but perfectly fits the classic definition of "troll". Think "apple of discord".
