"Free" speech isn't free when it cost Van Jones his job. Beck was allowed to smear him by using video of Jones making statements and showing his signature on a petition he signed. He continually shows video of Obama's acolytes saying what they think and how they plan to implement their plans. They can't succeed if the ignorant populace is "informed".
